- The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road is now available for free on PS Plus
- The game is also coming to PC Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere in June
- New content will be released in early 2027, taking players back to the Skyrim setting
Zenimax Online Studios has announced huge plans for The Elder Scrolls Online, including a PC Game Pass release.
During the 2026 Seasons Direct today, alongside new playable content coming to the game next month with Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk, the developer revealed that players will return to Tamriel's frozen north of Skyrim to explore an "iconic region" not previously seen in The Elder Scrolls Online.
This update will also introduce the game's first-ever Excursion Zone, as well as dynamic blizzards that "affect the gameplay of the zone itself."
What's more, The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road, which includes the base game and all major Chapter zones (including Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, Greymoor, Blackwood, High Isle, Necrom, and Gold Road) is available for free right now if you're subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
The offer is included in the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for March and ends on April 6. It is playable on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, so be sure to grab it while you still can.
On top of this, The Elder Scrolls Online is coming to PC Game Pass on June 2. It will also be added to Xbox Play Anywhere, so owners will be able to dive in on a range of Xbox platforms at no additional cost.
Earlier this year, Zenimax announced the game's very first event zone, the Night Market, which arrives on April 29. A limited-time player-versus-environment (PvE) zone described as "new, experimental content".
Two new story content updates are also on the way, and are each focused on the Thieves Guild and Sheogarath.
