Sony has announced a State of Play event for tomorrow (September 3), and it'll focus entirely on one game, rather than other reveals. Still, there's sure to be more of them by the end of the year, and thankfully, there's now plenty of info on the next one.
Since the series of shows began in 2019, Sony has used the State of Play presentations to reveal big-hitting games and details such as the initial reveal of Saros, debut gameplay footage for Death Stranding 2, and more. So, it's always worth tuning in to the State of Play live streams if you want to be alerted to any big announcements for new PS5 games.
Following the release of the PS5 Pro console, all eyes have turned back to the next State of Play - a new console will need new games to play on it, after all, even if it is a mid-gen refresh machine. Here's what we know.
When is the next Sony State of Play?
The next State of Play airs on September 3, 2025. You can watch at the times listed below:

What was revealed at the last Sony State of Play?

What can we expect from the next Sony State of Play?
The upcoming State of Play event will focus entirely on 007 First Light. This is the James Bond game from the Hitman developers that's planned for release in 2026. Hopefully we'll get to see more gameplay, and potentially a full release date.
The show is planned to last 30 minutes, and you can catch it live on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels. According to Sony:
"In this upcoming State of Play, tune in for over 30 minutes of gameplay featuring a playthrough of Bond’s first mission as an MI6 recruit. The action includes everything from high-speed car chases to on-foot stealth sequences and shootouts. Stay tuned after the playthrough for insights from IO Interactive on the intense espionage gameplay."
